Request from New York.

We designed a stone garden in a small indoor space using Datekanmuri Stone.

This stone is a precious stone that can only be obtained from a certain mountain in Marumori-cho, Miyagi Prefecture. Sculptor Isamu Noguchi also used this stone to create many masterpieces in his later years.

We visited several gardens for reference, including Aman Tokyo and the Thousand Hotel in Kyoto, and decided how to process the selected stones. There are two types of processing methods: nogiri and water-polishing.

The color contrast with the frame stone, Ooya stone, is also beautiful.
